| January
16th, 2006 Loquendo, the global speech technology provider,
announces the new release of its technology server (Loquendo MRCP Server), fully
compliant with the latest draft (draft 09) of the MRCPv2 standard recently released
by IETF.
The Media Resource Control Protocol - Version 2 (MRCPv2) is the
vendor-neutral, IETF protocol, for the control of distributed ASR, TTS and Speaker
Verification (SV) resources. The IETF Speech Services Control work-group has recently
produced a final draft that can be considered complete. This latest version of
MRCP v2 standard incorporates better-defined methods and events that are fully
VoiceXML 2.0 compliant.
Loquendo MRCP Server enables integrators to choose
what they need from Loquendo's technological components range, and to exploit
them using a flexible, standard-based client-server architecture. This modular
architecture makes Loquendo MRCP Server independent from ASR/TTS (Automatic Speech
Recognition/ Text to Speech) engines, languages and voices, allowing the seamless
upgrade to new technology releases, and the addition of new languages (ASR) and
voices (TTS). Loquendo is always at the forefront of technology, and always
strives to support speech standards: the Loquendo MRCP Server technology-server,
fully compatible with this latest version of the protocol, will allow our customers
to benefit from a complete set of functionalities, simplifying the process of
technology integration as well as providing superior performance solutions. About
Loquendo - Vocal Technology and Services With over 30 years of R&D
