Loquendo ASR 7.0 is now available for PDAs and boards running Pocket PC 2003 and Windows CE.NET 4.2, so making the new features recently introduced by Loquendo ASR version 7 also available for the embedded market.

In particular, this new release has been enhanced with new features that give improved recognition performance in a range of challenging environments, such as interactions with non-native speakers, high background noise (e.g. in-car, warehouse) and a diverse range of audio channels (e.g. VoIP, GSM/UMTS). Loquendo ASR 7.0 thus has a greatly improved performance in specific vertical markets such as automotive, voice picking and aeronautics.

New features include the adaption of acoustic models by a system integrator to a specific application/environment by composing default acoustic models with the new trained ones.

Furthermore, it is possible to include new sets of keywords or to dynamically modify and compile grammars: this allows application developers to insert new words into the relevant grammar as required by their embedded applications, which is very useful when dealing with complex jargon or unusual names.

Finally, speech recognition processing time has been reduced by employing optimised neural-networks.
