Loquendo, the global speech technology provider, is proud to announce
that Loquendo TTS version 7 (the latest version) is now available
with the latest release of Loquendo MRCP Server 7 (previously known
as Loquendo Speech Suite).
Loquendo MRCP Server is the solution for fixed, mobile and VoIP
telephony. The Loquendo server solution already supports Loquendo
ASR 7, so that now integrators can upgrade their platforms with
all Loquendo's high quality speech technologies - Loquendo TTS,
Loquendo ASR and Loquendo Speaker Verification. Loquendo MRCP Server
also supports many other features, including DTMF handling, recording
capabilities, barge-in control, etc.
Loquendo MRCP Server supports both versions of the Media Resource
Control Protocol (MRCP) developed by the IETF Speech Services Control
working group. They are:
- MRCPv2, the new version of MRCP,
which is based on SIP and RTP protocols to allow the best and
most comprehensive integration of speech technologies. It includes
new resources, e.g. the 'verifier' which interfaces with the Loquendo
Speaker Verification engine.
- MRCPv1, the previous version of MRCP,
also called RFC 4463 - is currently integrated by all the major
platform players for exploiting speech technologies. It is based
on RTSP and RTP protocols.
Loquendo TTS 7 brings many architectural advances to maintain language/voice
separation for the seamless upgrade to new languages and new voices.
Version 7 includes many new features, the most recent of which is
the Dynamic Range Control which improves TTS intelligibility in
noisy environments: by means of easy-to-use controls, developers
can fine-tune prompts and adjust audio to suit the location, the
speaker and the audio device. Loquendo TTS 7 also includes all the
unique features that make Loquendo TTS the leading text-to-speech
technology today, such as mixed-language support, expressive cues,
etc.
Moreover, the availability of Loquendo TTS 7 on
Loquendo MRCP Server carries with it all the recently developed
languages, such as Turkish, and all the new voices: Lisheng for
Mandarin Chinese, Zeynep for Turkish and Soledad for American Spanish.
These new arrivals to the extensive Loquendo family bring the total
number of languages to 21 and the total number of voices to 54.
Currently available languages include U.S. and U.K. English, American
Spanish, Mexican, Chilean and Argentinian Spanish, Castilian, Catalan,
Brazilian, Portuguese, Italian, German, Esperanto, French, Dutch,
Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Swedish, Turkish, Canadian French and Polish
in both male and female voices, with more always under development.
In addition, Loquendo TTS 7 out-performed expectations under load
tests, in particular showing significant improvement in CPU consumption
in all configurations - which include TTS only, and TTS and ASR.
Loquendo MRCP Server supports Microsoft Windows 2000 Server (SP4),
XP Professional (SP2) and Windows 2003 Server (SP1).
