Turin, March 17th 2003 Loquendo technology is one of the
attractions featured at the recently inaugurated exhibition on the history of
the Italian language, on show now at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. The
exhibition which bears the title of a quote from Dante's Inferno ("Dove il
sì suona"), takes visitors on a fascinating journey into the world
of the Italian people and their language - and its evolution from its origins
to the present day. Loquendo technology was chosen by the exhibition's curators
to be the "voice" and "ears" of the Automatic Voice Processing
section of the show. Loquendo TTS synthetic speech engine tells visitors the story
of the evolution of speech technologies and surprises them with the lifelike quality
of its many personas through a variety of fun exhibits. Loquendo TTS and
Loquendo ASR speaker-independent speech recognition also power the exhibition's
virtual contact centre, which can be reached throughout the country by dialling
a toll-free number. About Loquendo With
