InfoSpeech Integrates Loquendo TTS Into
Services For Blind Users |
|
Loquendo
TTS has been chosen to power services provided by ONCE - Spain's
National Organization for the Blind - in the organization's
educational centers for blind and visually impaired users located
throughout the country. Loquendo's Spanish partner, InfoSpeech,
is integrating Loquendo TTS in the automated call centers it
is developing for ONCE's Bibliographical & Cultural Center.
Users accessing the ONCE call centers will be provided with
the over-the-phone information they require by Loquendo's lifelike
text-to-speech engine. But that's not all! In line with the
ONCE's mission to guarantee an integrated education policy by
catering for the needs of blind pupils integrated in mainstream
schools, InfoSpeech is also integrating Loquendo TTS in Castilian
Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian and German in a very
sophisticated reading tool to produce audio books on CD-ROM
for blind students and readers throughout Spain, allowing them
to have a much more user-friendly access to written culture.

Loquendo
Technologies Automate Targasys bConnect Contact Center |
|
Fiat Group
company Targasys has chosen Loquendo technology to automate
its bConnect service contact center. The service can be accessed
anytime, from anywhere across Europe, through telematics-equipped
cars or cellphones. Loquendo's robust, speaker-independent and
noise-resistant ASR technology along with Loquendo's lifelike
TTS, provide an automated version of the contact center, which
supports agents to keep customer satisfaction high. Loquendo's
Italian persona, Valentina, gives bConnect users calling the
contact center information on driving directions, traffic conditions
and points of interest - while they're behind the wheel. All
drivers need to do is use their voice to navigate the contact
center. Besides providing the speech synthesis and recognition
technologies, Loquendo was also chosen to design the voice user
interface due to its extensive VUI expertise. The result is
a voice user interface that is both user-friendly and requires
very little attention from drivers, in order to keep their concentration
on the road. The service was developed for Italian speakers
