Loquendo's automatic speech recognition and synthetic speech technologies have been chosen by Telecom Italia to power the operator's new 4 Star (4*) voice portal.
Just by dialing the digits 4 and *, customers throughout Italy get direct, simplified access to a wide range of Telecom Italia services, without needing to know the number for each service. They can currently choose among the following services and navigate them just using their voice:

• Voicemail services, vocal text messaging, information services, wake up calls, exact time;
• Purchasing Telecom Italia services automatically, or with operator call-back;
• Emergency services.

Thanks to Loquendo's high-quality speech technologies, the 4* service enables all users to access a whole host of services without needing to know the numbers and without pressing any buttons..

Telecom Italia has launched the new 41.41.2 voice portal created by Loquendo on the VoxNauta voice platform.
From any wireline phone throughout Italy, users dialing 41.41.2 can access Telecom Italia's new service, from which they can download all the latest ring tones, as well as the most original logos for mobile phones. They can also dedicate and send tunes to suit any occasion to both cellphones and wireline phones throughout Italy.

Loquendo has realized a speech service that provides over-the-phone access to the Municipality of Rome's Tax Office website www.tributi.comune.roma.it.
Thanks to the speech-enabled service created by Loquendo, all citizens of Rome can calculate their local property tax due to their Municipality. Thanks to the automated call center powered by Loquendo Text-To-Speech and Automatic Speech Recognition technology, all users can benefit from a friendly, easy-to-use way of carrying out tricky local tax calculations.

In collaboration with Telecom Italia and the Municipality of Rome, Loquendo created an experimental service that enable all citizens of Rome to be kept informed with real-time information on the ballot situation during the last local elections. An automatic speech- enabled service powered by Loquendo TTS and Loquendo ASR enabled users to dial a phone number and interrogate the system, which provided them with up-to-the-minute data as it came in from the polling stations.
The same type of service was available in the Municipality of Pisa for the latest Municipal elections.
