Dear Reader,
Welcome to this issue of the Loquendo Newsletter, in which we give you all the latest news on Loquendo product releases as well as on several awards recently presented to the company, once again demonstrating our unwavering commitment to high quality technologies and to customer satisfaction in a free market.
Loquendo is proud to have been awarded 2011 SpeechTEK Winner in the Speech Engine Market Leaders Category, receiving the top prize for the third time. Loquendo has also been presented with the META Seal of Recognition for its Text-to-Speech technology at the META Forum 2011, an international conference on powerful technologies for creating a truly multilingual European information society.
As part of the International Speech Community, Loquendo is happy to host the 2011 Blizzard Challenge Workshop on September 2. This is an important satellite event of Interspeech 2011, now in its 7th year, and the largest, most wide-ranging and authoritative international speech synthesis evaluation campaign. We will be honored to welcome all the participants from academia and industry, and we thank the organizers for their continued hard work in supporting such important initiatives, so contributing to the advancement of text to speech technology.
We also keep you up to date with Loquendo’s latest product releases: Veena, the first Indian English Text-To-Speech voice; the new release of Loquendo ASR (version 7.10), featuring enhanced SLM and dynamic grammars, and of Loquendo MRCP Server (version 7.2), with strongly enhanced port density.
In the last few days Loquendo has also launched CreateYourDemo, the new, free tool enabling customers and partners to carry out real-time testing of their VoiceXML Applications.
Loquendo, as a key contributor to the VoiceXML Forum, is also pleased to announce that, in July, the CCXML standard became a W3C Recommendation.
