FOREWORD
Dear Reader,
The last two months have been very rewarding for Loquendo, consolidating our positioning as global player in the speech technology market.
First, Loquendo has expanded its relationship with Avaya - global leader in enterprise communications systems. Loquendo speech technology licenses are now available directly through Avaya and its channels, as an option for Avaya Voice Portal - the company's flagship speech self-service solution for contact centers. This gives Avaya customers more choice for speech-enabling a broad range of solutions, and further extends Loquendo’s reach to anyone looking to integrate the highest quality technologies for a new generation of customer care. With this agreement, Avaya acknowledges Loquendo’s commitment to providing the best speech technologies at the right price.
This success is in line with our guiding principle that Speech Technology must be for all: which is why we have worked so hard at making the full Loquendo product range multilingual, multi-platform and fully standards-compliant.
Loquendo has also been honoured twice at the SpeechTEK 2009 Speech Industry Awards. First of all, with the 2009 'Market Leader Award' for its speech engine, thanks to high scores "for accuracy, cost, customization and integration, and innovation".
The Market Leader Awards collate ratings from leading industry analysts and consultants in several key areas, including customer satisfaction, depth of functionality, company direction, accuracy, cost, and ease of use.
Loquendo additionally collected the 2009 'Speech Luminary Award' – presented to our Director of International Standards, Paolo Baggia, for having “worked tirelessly on the W3C Voice Browser and Multimodal Interaction Working Groups," for co-authoring/authoring numerous international speech standards, including VoiceXML, EMMA, MRCP, and PLS (Pronunciation Lexicon Specification), combined with his dedicated work towards bridging the gap between industry and academia.
The upcoming Events at which Loquendo will be present are: SMAU 2009 in Milan, Italy, October 21-23, V. Istanbul Call Center Conference and Expo 2009 in Istanbul, Turkey, October 26-27, AVAYA EMEA Partner Conference 2009 Prague, Czech Republic, November 5-6, Telematics Update Munich 2009, Munich, Germany, November 10-11, Call Center + CRM Solutions 2009 Lisbon, Portugal, November 23-25, Navigation and Location USA 2009, San Jose, California, December 1-2, and ONLINE EDUCA BERLIN 2009, Berlin, Germany, December 2-4.
